Family Camp at Timbered Meadows

What: The Fall family camp at Timbered Meadows Campground starts out at 5pm with a family night on September 24th where no Scout rules are in effect.

The following day (Saturday) at 11am Cub Scouts rules will go into effect until the end of camp on Sunday. Boys will be doing BB guns and the Raingutter Regatta at camp this year. We will make the boats for the race as one of our camp activities. Please eat lunch before this. Supper will be at 6:00. We ask that everyone bring a side dish to share and the pack will provide the meat and drinks.

We will have the campfire cooking competition again and that will begin at 3:30 with judging at 5:30. Remember, your entry must be cooked outside over fire, coals or camp stove. Please try to have the boys do most of the cooking and adults assist with the fire.

If you would like to camp it's free of charge either in a tent or camper. The entire family is invited! If unable to camp out, please come join the fun just for the day on Saturday! This will be a great time to meet your fellow scouts and families.

Directions from Paxton: Take Rt. 9 E to Rankin. Continue on Rt.9 until you'll see a sign that says East Lynn Rd. Turn left (N). Continue N to Goodwine (aprox. 6 miles) , go thru Goodwine and continuing N about 1.5 miles and you'll see a sign for Timbered Meadows (706 N 1800E RD, Goodwine). Turn right and you'll be there. Approximately 26 miles from Paxton.
