Holiday House
What: An opportunity for Scouts and other local youth to buy gifts for their friends and family.
Where: Paxton Fire Station, 310 S. Market Street
When: Thursday, December 1st is Scout shopping night; Friday, December 2nd & Saturday, December 3rd, 2011 general public
The Cub Scouts are again sponsoring a Holiday House for the community. Please encourage your child to participate by attending the Holiday House at the assigned time for each den. Parents are encouraged to help along with their child. The basics of the Holiday House are as follows: the scouts will escort children from the community thru the shopping area of the 'house' and then set them up with others from their den who will help with wrapping the gifts...this is where the parents' help is important - to make sure that your scout is being the most help in both of these areas as well as being kind and courteous at all times.
The Holiday House usually needs items donated (bags, bows, etc.), but not this year. We have quite a bit left over and shouldn't need anything.
Thursday, December 1st is Cub Scout & sibling only shopping. Shopping times are as follows:
- 5:30pm - Tigers
- 6:00pm - Wolves
- 6:30pm - Bears
- 7:00pm - Webelos (4th)
- 7:30pm - Webelos (5th)

Everyone is asked to bring 1-2 dozen homemade or store bought treats on the scout shopping night or the day of your shift. While the customers/children shop, the guests/parents will enjoy cookies, coffee, and hot chocholate!
The Holiday House has been a great success in the past years. Let's make it another positive experience this year. This is a NON PROFIT community service project, therefore, it is very important that you and your scout participate. The success or failure of this service rests solely with our pack…SO…lets show the community how great scouts are and come out and give it our all! Remember, this will earn the scout merit points!
